RULES & INFORMATIONS
Registration and bibs numbers distribution:
Reception and registration.
Centre Civique Paul Mathieu (Arena) (opposite to City Hall)

- Free lockers will be available to runners
Free accomodation
About fifteen beds, blankets and pillows will be available, free,
at the Centre Civique Paul Mathieu from:
- Friday, September 17th (3pm) to Sunday September 19th (10am)
- No reservation, first-come, first-serve basis.
Medical informations
- A medical service has been structure for the race.
- 1 hour prior to the race till 2 hours after the last runner's arrival, a medical team will be on duty to take care of all runners weakness or injuries.
- 1 doctor, 1 nurse and 5 masseurs will be on duty at the Civic Center throughtout the race.
- 1 ambulance with para-medic and a team of Red Cross volunteers will be on patrol from Saturday 7am till the end of the race.
- In case of injury, only designed offical doctor will be authorized to enter the course.
Security
- The circuit is not being closed to traffic.
Security Highway Code prevails.
- All runners must attach their bibs numbers on the front side of their
T-Shirt.
- All runners will run facing traffic.
- All runners must observe traffic signs placed for them on the circuit.
- On route 329 and 125, accompanist-byckers must stay in line behind their runner.
- At nightfall, all runners MUST wear reflective clothes (vest or band) and MUST carry a flashlight (7pm).
- Accompanist-byckers MUST have night lights on their bicycle.
- Runners or accompanist who will not respect one of these rules can expect to be disqualified from the race.
Insurances
Liability
- The Organizing Committee is covered by a liability insurance. Runner members of the FQA* are covered by their individual insurance. All other participants are invited to take care of their own. *Fédération Québecoise d'Athlétisme
Medical
- Runners must have a medical certificat signed within the last 6 monts, stating that their in good health to participate at the race.
- Runners will sign a weaver to disclaim all responsability to the Organization.
Course
- The course is a 25km loop that is similar to a figure 8 in design. There are numerous hills, including one significant one at the end, but it is more rolling in nature than hilly. Runners in the 100km race run four loops of the course, and 50km runners must complete two loops.
Runners who fail to finish the 100km, but who cover 50km or more, will not be counted as finishers in the 50km division.
- The course has been certified by the FQA.
- The course is arrowed on pavement on the left hand side of the road
- At turning points, arrows will indicate the way to go.
- The course is post-signed at every 5km.
Chronometer
- An electronic clock will indicate time at the start and finishing line.
- Two Offical Timekeepers will control runners time.
- Loops time will be posted at the Civic Center at the end of the race.
Aid Stations
- There will be 5 Aid Sations on the course identified as:
A, B, C, D, E.
- A : Start and finishing station. Checkpoint.
Fruits, water, glucose (Gatorade), beds and medical
- B & D : Water, glucose (Gatorade) and Power bars.
- C & E : Fruits, water, glucose and rest area. Checkpoint.
Runners personal supplies are permitted. They must be
identified clearly with runners bibs numbers and aid station letter
where they need to be placed. Volunteers will display them at the right place. Supplies must be brought at the Civic Center before 5am on
the day of the race.
- Sponges will be available at aid stations.
- Aid stations are for runners and accompanist only except "A" Station.
- Hot water showers will be available at the Civic Center.
- Dry toilets will be found at aid stations.
Accompanist
- Only one accompanist per runner.
- For security matters, accompanist will be authorized on the course only after the 5km post sign. (aid station B)
- Accompanist can get supplies at aid station.
- On road 125 and 329, accompanist must stay behind their runner in single lane.
- Like the runners, accompanist must wear reflective clothes when nightfall arrives.
- Their bicycle must be equiped with appropriate lights.

- A bus scouting tour of the course will leave the Civic Center, Friday September 17th at 3.30pm.

- Friday, September 17th at 5pm in the Council Room at City Hall.
Pasta Party
- Friday, September 17th, at 7pm Civic Center.
- Free for registred runners.
- 10$ for others.
- 5$ for children 6 to 12.
- Free for children under 6.

- After the race for runners that have to leave.
Checkpoints
- All runners will be spot ckecked 2 times on eack lap. There bib number will be hole-punched. Checkpoints at aid stations: "A" for starting and finishing and "C & E" during the race.
Competition rules
- Bibs numbers MUST be visible at all time
- 15 minutes before the race (6.45am) runners will be called in the starting zone for checkpoint.
- Even if you are late, do not start your race, without being check at starting. Otherwise you will not be classified.
- Be sure to be checkpoint at aid stations "C & E" at each loop. You will not be classified if one punch is missing on your bib number at race finishing line.
- At no time runners can be transported.
At all time Marshalls or Members of the Organizing Committee can disqualify a runner who do not respect a race rule.
Appeal procedure
A runner will have the right to appeal a disqualification decision made by a Marshall or a Member of the Organizing Committee, by filling out a specific form available at régistration desk.
He will have a 2 hours delay to do so.
His request will be studied by a 3 persons Committee (2 from the 100km de St-Donat Organizing Committee and 1 from the ACU Committee).
Their verdict will be without appeal
